Libby reached out to us as we put together our October Domestic Violence Awareness campaign and said she wanted to take part in helping us Paint 757 Purple and that her office was going to be participating in Purple Thursday on October 19th.

Libby Cutshall is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Eden Counseling Center in Virginia Beach, and she took a few minutes to talk with us about how her own past experiences with violence led her to a career of helping others heal from trauma.

In fact, Libby was a client at Samaritan House many years back.

This powerful testimonial goes to show that breaking the cycle of violence is possible, and there are resources in Hampton Roads that can help you with housing, resources, training, counseling, court advocacy and more. You do not have to bear the burden of a violent relationship alone. Samaritan House can help.

If you are experiencing violence, call the 24-hour Coordinated Crisis Response Hotline: 757-251-0144
