Donate Items to Samaritan House

Whether you choose to sign up as a monthly donor, make a one-time contribution, or donate your time or items to Samaritan House, you are making a tremendous impact by helping families in crisis in Hampton Roads. Many clients come to Samaritan House with only the clothes on their backs. We rely on the generosity of the community to ensure our clients have the necessities to begin to heal. Your donation makes a tremendous impact by helping families in crisis in Hampton Roads.

Boxed dish sets
Plastic storage containers
Plastic bowls
Boxed silverware sets
Plastic plates and bowls
Towels (all sizes)
Twin sheet sets
Full sheet sets
Non-perishable food items
Gift cards from major retailers, gas stations and banks.

Samaritan House is always in need of the following items:

Food

We take food donations for our emergency shelters as well as for our clients who progress to permanent housing.

Toiletries

shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products.

Linens

sheets, pillows, comforters, towels, washcloths

Cleaning Supplies

sponges, mops, Lysol, dusting supplies, etc.

Clothes

New or gently used clothing for men, women, and children

Baby Supplies

Diapers, wipes, clothes, etc.

Kitchen Supplies

dishes, drinking glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc.

Furniture

For clients who move to their own permanent home and do not have the means to furnish the new home.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are always greatly appreciated, as they are utilized to purchase work uniforms, and basic household items, and supplement our Nutrition Assistance Program.

For a contact-free way to donate, we have set up several Amazon Wish Lists that can be conveniently delivered directly to our donation department.

When you arrive, please park and unload in the designated spot located on the left-hand side of the main admin building.

Please note: We cannot accept donations of used toys, towels, bed linens, undergarments or opened personal care items/toiletries.

Schedule a Pick Up
