Signs of Domestic Violence
EMERGENCY & PERMANENT HOUSING
Samaritan House provides a comprehensive range of housing options. We own and operate 13 emergency shelters and provide permanent housing to families in need through our rapid rehousing approach. A team of professionals works directly with each program participant to offer the necessary tools and resources to transition to self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
Emergency Housing
Provides immediate and secure refuge at one of our emergency shelters. These homes are at undisclosed locations across the region for the protection of our survivors. This is the first step to breaking the cycle of violence and starting to heal.
Housing NOW
Our Housing NOW program assists program participants to secure their own permanent housing as quickly as possible. Our Housing Locators assist program participants to secure independence by signing a lease of their own. Samaritan House partners with property owners and landlords in the community to find suitable and secure housing for our program participants.
Homeless Services
Are you homeless or at risk of losing your home?
Call the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline at (757) 587-4202. Hotline staff will interview you to determine which referral is appropriate to your situation, and what is available in the community and connect you with services from local providers. The Hotline does not provide any direct financial assistance.
