Samaritan House understands that sexual assault can happen to anyone. We offer housing and support services for victims of sexual assault and their families, including counseling, assistance navigating the legal system, and support groups.
Sexual violence is defined as a sexual act committed against someone without that person’s freely given consent. It is a myth that most sexual assault occurs between strangers. The vast majority of these crimes are committed by someone known to the victim. Regardless of the nature of the relationship between you and that person, consent is required, and you are not at fault.
The impacts of sexual violence on a victim are traumatic and catastrophic. Samaritan House recognizes that recovering from sexual assault takes time and regardless of when the incident occurs and we are here to connect you with the resources you need to live a life free from violence.
