Donate Items to Support Families in Crisis

Help create a place of safety and stability.

Many survivors arrive at Samaritan House with only the clothes on their backs. Your donated items provide immediate relief, stability, and care for individuals and families beginning their journey toward safety.

We ask that all items be new for our program participants.

Items for Donation

Samaritan House is always in need of the following items.

We ask that all items be new for our program participants.

Food

We take food donations for our emergency shelters as well as for our clients who progress to permanent housing.

Toiletries

shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products.

Linens

sheets, pillows, comforters, towels, washcloths

Cleaning Supplies

sponges, mops, Lysol, dusting supplies, etc.

Clothes

New or gently used clothing for men, women, and children

Baby Supplies

Diapers, wipes, clothes, etc.

Kitchen Supplies

dishes, drinking glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc.

Furniture

For clients who move to their own permanent home and do not have the means to furnish the new home.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are always greatly appreciated, as they are utilized to purchase work uniforms, and basic household items, and supplement our Nutrition Assistance Program.

On-site Donation Department

Open Monday - Friday from 10 am – 3 pm

2620 Southern Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA (off 264 at the Lynnhaven North exit).

When you arrive, please park and unload in the designated spot located on the left-hand side of the main admin building.

Schedule a Pick Up

Please call (757) 583-7211 to schedule a pick-up of larger items or furniture.
